Gasoline is probably the hardest fuel to store at any length of time though it has the advantage of being a liquid at room temperature. It evaporates quickly and will go stale in a few weeks if not chemically treated. It has a fairly high ignition temperature even if it does not need a large volume of heat to ignite. Stored gasoline must be treated with a BHT additive like Sta-Bil and be protected from moisture if it be stored for any length of time.
